Description
It is a patented ammonia based cooling system that produces icy water with a stable temperature of +0.5°C, optimising the plate heat exchangers usage and precisely controlling the evaporation of ammonia. The Zeromatik® system can be installed on any Zudek solution achieving the following goals:
- higher efficiency, reaching COPs of 6 which assures energy savings up to 50%;
- reduced equipment footprint size supplying a compact solution for icy water production;
- flexible regulation of cooling capacity thanks to inverter driven electric motors of the compressors that maintain the highest efficiency even with partial loads.
It is used in many companies to manage the cooling process of vegetables, bottling or carbonated drinks and in wineries. But above all, it is used in the dairy industry in the production and processing of milk.
Zeromatik®: the perfect solution for the dairy industry
All diaries need icy water for milk processing. Since coolants of any kind can damage the products of the dairy industry, water must be used in its pure form. About 50 years ago, 90% of dairy factories worked from five o’clock in the morning until noon to produce cheese, butter and milk. Traditional systems guaranteed a water temperature of +1°C for the first five to six hours and then the water heated disrupting the production. This time interval was sufficient for cooling and to complete the technological cycle.
At the present time dairy production includes more products and therefore the production time has increased, operating in some cases the whole day. For this reason icy water is needed in a stable and reliable way for 12 to 14 hours a day. Furthermore, in the past the cost of electricity did not affect production as much as it does now. Today companies remain competitive also due to their energy savings. If we consider that in diaries of all sizes most of the consumed energy goes for cooling, Zudek technologies save up to 50% of it helping the company to remain competitive, be sustainable and work with the most efficient cooling technology.
