Founded in 1947 by Giovanni Lazzarin, affectionately known as ‘Nanni’, Latteria Montello began as a small dairy in Giavera del Montello, in the province of Treviso. Over the decades, the company has grown to become one of the most advanced and recognised companies in the Italian and European dairy industry. Today, it is run by the third generation of the Lazzarin family, who passionately uphold the values of quality, innovation and respect for the environment.

The Nonno Nanni brand, registered in 1984, has become synonymous with goodness and authenticity. The flagship product is Stracchino Nonno Nanni, a fresh, soft, creamy cheese with a delicate flavour, made with selected milk and live lactic cultures, without preservatives. It is a product that combines traditional craftsmanship with the most advanced technology and is now one of the most popular among Italian consumers.

Latteria Montello has always believed in the importance of equipping itself with the best technology to ensure quality, safety and sustainability in its production processes. In this journey, it has chosen Zudek as its partner for the construction of high-efficiency industrial refrigeration systems.

The collaboration between Zudek and Latteria Montello began in 2011 with the construction of:

• A complete ice water production plant using ice makers
• Implementation of an NH3 refrigeration plant

These solutions have enabled the company to optimise its production processes and guarantee operational continuity, responding to the needs of a constantly evolving market.

In 2025, the partnership was further strengthened with the installation of:

• An Ecomatik with Zeromatik system for the production of chilled water, designed to maximise energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact
• Further expansion of refrigeration capacity for negative temperatures, ideal for ensuring precision and reliability in storage processes

All systems use ammonia as a natural refrigerant, a choice that eliminates GWP (Global Warming Potential) and ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential), making Zudek solutions completely sustainable.
